02.03.2023. the first workshop of bilateral cooperation of partners was held as part of the project "Solarization of institutions of the city of Zagreb - SOLIZAG", ref. No. 75, which was successfully applied for the Call for "Increasing Solar Energy Production Capacity" which is financed from the Financial Mechanism of the European Economic Area 2014-2021, as part of the "Energy and Climate Change" Program.
The workshop was attended by representatives of the City of Zagreb, the Norwegian project partner, the Program Partner of the Energy Institute Hrvoje Požar, the Program Manager of the Ministry of Regional Development and European Union Funds, the project partner Zagreb Holding, as well as employees of the institutions where the solar power plants are installed.
The opening speech was given by Ivan Ivanković, assistant head of the Department for Environmental Sustainability within the City Office for Economy, Environmental Sustainability and Strategic Planning of the City of Zagreb. In the introduction, an overview of the project achievements so far is given.
The first presentation on the topic "Examples of good practice in the implementation, construction and maintenance of photovoltaic panels on public buildings in Norway, with an indication of possible problems and ways to solve them" was held by project partner from Norway Erik Eid Hohle, manager of Energigarden - EFIF.
E.A.Hohle presented the international foundation from Norway The Energy Farm. In the first part of the presentation, specific energy needs and energy consumption in Norway are explained. In the second part of the presentation, examples of the application of solar energy in cities and smaller local communities in Norway are presented, with special emphasis on public buildings such as schools in Oslo. At the end of the presentation, there was an open discussion about the potential, problems and solutions in the use of renewable energy sources.
The second presentation was held by Marko Vlainić, project manager of the Regional Energy and Climate Agency of Northwest Croatia REGEA. The presentation was held on the subject of the Solar Power Plant at the buildings of the City of Zagreb and the Zagreb Holding (SOLIZAG). In the first part of the presentation, the subject of the electricity market and anomalies in the market of the Republic of Croatia, the technical aspects of solar power plants, as well as the administrative procedures for obtaining permits for the installation of power plants were touched upon. In the second part of the presentation, all the pilot projects were presented, as well as the details of the public procurement procedures for the construction of power plants.
